Fieldstaff

Namaste Wings to Fly is active with its projects and initiatives in six geographical areas located in the southern rural areas of Kerala and Tamil Nadu:

1. Vellanadu
2. Poonthura
3. Pozhiyoor
4. Virzhinjam
5. Nedumangadu
6. Tamil Nadu villages, hit by tsunami (in the area of Kolachel)

Each area is managed by one fieldworker – usually originating from that specific place - who is responsible for all issues concerning our sponsored children and their families, along with any other initiative taken by the Organization in that particular region.

1. Vellanadu (Kerala) JOHN, fieldworker, 23 years old Born in Virzhinjam, he completed Plus 2 (Humanities). Once a sponsored child himself, he joined Namaste Wings to Fly as staff member in 2005. He deals with all tasks and duties related to outside sponsored children living in the Vellanad area, close to Namaste. He has been, moreover, in charge of the ‘Ammachi Project’ since the foundation of the Society.

2. Poonthura (Kerala) PUSHPARAJ, fieldworker, 24 years old Born in Poonthura, he completed Plus 2 (Humanities). Once a sponsored child himself, he joined Namaste Wings to Fly as fieldworker in 2003. He deals with all tasks and duties related to outside sponsored children living in the Poonthura area. In 2007 he was, moreover, selected as Member of the Executive Committee of the NGO.

3. Pozhiyoor (Kerala) JAMES, fieldworker, 23 years old Born in Pozhiyoor, he graduated in Bachelor of Commerce and joined Namaste Wings to Fly as fieldworker in 2008. He deals with all tasks and duties related to outside sponsored children living in the Pozhiyoor area.

4. Virzhinjam (Kerala) NEBULSON, fieldworker, 23 years old Born in Virzhinjam, graduated in Mathematics and now attending a Master in Social Science, Nebulson joined Namaste Wings to Fly as fieldworker in 2007. He deals with all tasks and duties related to outside sponsored children living in the Virzhinjam area.

5. Nedumangadu (Kerala) SOUMYA, fieldworker, 24 years old Born in Nedumangadu, completed Bachelor of Arts (History), she joined Namaste Wings to Fly as fieldworker in 2007. She deals with all tasks and duties related to outside sponsored children living in the Nedumangadu area.
